On March 30, 2026, the Georgia Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (GALAS) proudly hosted its inaugural Leadership Summit, marking a historic milestone in the advancement of Latino educational leadership across Georgia.

Held in Douglasville, the event brought together educators, administrators, aspiring leaders, students, community partners, and advocates from across the state to celebrate, connect, and build a stronger network of Latino leadership in education. Attendees represented school districts, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and community organizations committed to expanding opportunities for Georgia's students and families.

A highlight of the event was the Student Leadership Panel, where Latino students shared their personal journeys, challenges, and aspirations. Educational leaders and community advocates also shared their experiences, offering valuable insights into leadership, service, and advocacy.
